Who: Kids entering 5th to 8th grade
When: August 3-7: 9am to 4pm Monday and Tuesday;
backpacking trip Wednesday 7am through Friday 4pm (2 nights)
Where: Lee Vining Community Center and 2 nights backpacking in Yosemite National Park
From compasses to water filters to campfires, science is everywhere in backcountry travel. Explore the beautiful Sierra Nevada, build new wilderness skills, and learn the science of survival! Then, put your new knowledge to the test during a 2-night backpacking trip in Yosemite National Park. (Previous backpacking experience encouraged; gear provided!)
Lunch and healthy snacks provided; all food for backpacking trip is provided
