Support Our Work

The Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership (SNAP) is a joint program between the federal AmeriCorps office and the Sierra Nevada Alliance. 2025 would have been the first year of Sierra STEM’s participation in SNAP as a host site, and we were very excited about the collaboration.

The two Environmental Education Program Facilitators we hired through SNAP will build Sierra STEM’s outreach and education capacity by enhancing our STEM-focused curriculum, supporting our environmental education efforts in the Mono Basin and Yosemite National Park, and building capacity for volunteer recruitment and management.

But cuts to AmeriCorps and cancellation of all its 2025 grants have left us in a bind.

Sierra STEM remains committed to bringing on the two team members we’d hired through AmeriCorps, but without the federal support, we need to fill a funding gap of approximately $26,500. Please donate to help us fulfill our mission of delivering high-quality, experience-based STEM programs to our community.
