A special ❤️-themed evening science camp for kids in grades 1-8

Get *pumped* because while you get a kid-free date night with your Valentine, your kid will be dissecting a heart, doing experiments, and making art projects to understand how the circulatory system works!

In that *vein*, your heart might *skip a beat* when you see the details:

What? Valentines' Night Out: I <3 STEM! Camp that includes:

  • Up to five hours of childcare and hands-on science activities!

  • Dinner (huge thanks to June Pie for the main course!)

  • Flexible dropoff and pickup within the 4-9 PM window

  • All dissection/experimental equipment and art materials

Who? Any child in grades 1-8

When? Dropoff/Pickup anytime from 4 PM to 9 PM on Friday, 2/14

Where? June Lake Community Center

What about the parents?! This program is offered in partnership with Mono Inn

  • Mono Inn is offering local families who register for this camp a $25 credit toward their Valentine’s Day dinner reservation at Mono Inn! Thank you, Mono Inn!

How to Sign Up

This special Valentine's Day program is a pilot program for Sierra STEM! If we find that it is fun for the kids and financially sustainable, we hope to run several of these types of programs annually. As part of our pilot program, we are also trying out a new approach to payments in the form of a sliding scale payment option.

Sliding Scale Payment Options

We strongly believe every kid should have access to our programs, regardless of financial circumstances.

To make this possible, we are trying out a sliding scale payment system. $100 covers the full cost of planning, materials, food, and execution of the program for one child and helps sustain our efforts, but families can choose any of the following options that best fits their budget:

  • $100 registration fee

  • $75 registration fee

  • $50 registration fee

  • $25 registration fee

How it works:

  • Select the amount that feels right for your family during registration.

  • Your selection is private and will not affect your child’s experience in the program.

  • Your support helps us continue offering this opportunity to more kids in our community.
